Can someone please tell me where the month of June went??? OH MY GOODNESS!! I cannot believe we are almost to July!
Hubby has left for a while, so I am going to hibernate in my sewing room till his return. I want to work on the quilts I want to make for the upcoming county fair. And, I have guild projects that need to be completed as well. So much to do...
I have been enjoying my summer, the heat of the summer, that is. Our garden is growing like crazy! I can't wait till I can have my first fried squash, my first tomato sandwich, etc... it makes my mouth water every time I think of it!! We planted a lot of tomatoes this year. I need to make a couple of batches of Green Tomato Relish (My grandmother's recipe). We are on our last pint of this stuff and we are really trying to make it last till I can get more made. It is very good on hot dogs, hamburgers and fried potatoes (with Miracle Whip). At least, that is our preferences for it. It is a good thing no one is coming to visit anytime soon. I have none to give. Everyone who visits usually asks for several pints of "the gold" , (which is what they refer to it as, because it is so valuable to them) before they leave!
OK... gotta cut this short. Sorry...
