First and foremost, I am a Christian who loves the Lord, our Savior. And, I am very grateful to Him for all the blessings He has given to me, past, present and future. I am married, (34 years at present), to a wonderful friend, husband and father, who also happens to be a United Methodist Minister. So, being the preacher's wife, the preacher's secretary, and all other jobs that the preacher comes up with, is my role in life at present. I did have a career as a nurse, until a back injury did me in! So, if you are reading this and are a nurse or have another physical type job... PROTECT YOUR BACK!! Take it from someone who knows!
I have 2 beautiful grown children (a boy at 32 and unmarried and a girl at 31 and married), a wonderful Son-in-law, and one perfect grandson. I think my grandson would be perfect even if he had three feet! Grandchildren are wonderful little people. I can't get enough of him when he is around, and I miss him the moment he walks out the door. We are lucky that the parish we are serving at present is only about 30 miles from our hometown. So, we get to see our family often. I am sure this situation will not last forever, so I am going to enjoy it while I can.
I have been quilting since 1996. My former Youth Leader/Director gave me a few lessons, and off I went. I love it when I can get to my sewing room. Quilting is a passion for me, and when I am 'on a roll' sewing, I hate those everyday interruptions, phones and doorbells, to name a few!
